Today marks the 20th anniversary of the classic, legendary battle that took place between the X-Men and the Invizibl Skratch Piklz at the 1996 ITF World Finals. This is arguably the greatest DJ battle ever recorded, and there are DJs today 20 years later that still cannot come close to the level of skill shown in this battle! This is the ultimate culmination of the East VS West Coast styles of turntablism and deserves to be seen by every fan of the genre at least once. This was not a judged competition, but a showcase put together by the world famous Rocksteady Crew, who both the X-Men (now the Xecutioners) and the Invizibl Skratch Piklz were members of. This video features ISP's famous Klamz Uv Deth group routine and one of the best sets from the late, great Grandmaster Roc Raida. Watch the video above and read an article written for the anniversary by DJ Rob Swift of the Xecutioners. #RIPROCRAIDA Read here: djrobswift.com
