DJ Nu-Mark: Take Me With You [Free Mix] & Toy Set [Video/Live Routine]

If you're a fan of Hip Hop djs and the full extent of your experience is dudes pressing play on their laptops and screaming over tracks then you need to get some knowledge and edutain yourself. Deejaying and turntablism is an art and only true artists can demonstrate that but unfortunately the majority of so-called deejays out there took the art out of artform and just do paint by numbers plug and play, most don't know how to blend two records or even scratch or juggle worth shit. True djs need to be noticed and celebrated, they're a dying breed.

One such being is the mighty DJ Nu-Mark, formerly one half of the deejays for the acclaimed group Jurassic 5 (yeah that's right, they had TWO fucking djs) and known for his flawless mixes and innovative routines such as the famous MPC routine "Pushing Buttons" which he made with fellow legends DJ Shadow & Cut Chemist. If you've never seen the routine Google it. Why wouldn't you google it? I just told you to Google it! I can write for days but actions speak louder than words and the video above shows just how insanely creative this man is. Watch him rock an entire set where he integrates musical toys he's collected and modified with audio outs. This is too insane to describe - check the cymbal-banging monkey and sax man! Nu-Mark manages to breath new life into these toys and the art of deejaying itself. Seeing him live is an experience you'll never forget. Utter genius.
