C2E2 (Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo) 2015 Guide

It's that time of year again when Chicago's biggest comic convention C2E2 comes to McCormick Place!  This year is arguably more jam-packed than ever thanks in part to the rise in comic and nerd-related TV shows springing up everywhere!  Here's a rundown of some of what you can expect this coming weekend:

Comic's most famous elder-statesman Stan "The Man" Lee will be autographing at Autographing Table 1 Friday at 4:30 PM, Saturday at 10:00 AM, 1pm and 3:30pm and Sunday at 10:30am and 1pm!  Then you can join him on the Main Stage (S406) on Sunday at 2:45 as he discusses his best known creations including Spider-Man, The Avengers, The X-Men and The Incredible Hulk!

You can join famed director M. Night Shyamalan and actor Matt Dillon Friday on the Main Stage at 3:15p as they run a Q&A about their upcoming new psychological thriller FOX TV show "Wayward Pines" as well as provide a sneak peak screening!

On Saturday on the Main Stage (S406) you can check out two of Marvel's finest with the "Kick-ass Women of S.H.I.E.L.D." from 1:30pm-2:30pm! Join Hayley Atwell aka Peggy Carter and Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Ming-Na Wen as they talk about being women in a male-dominated genre.

The big show will also be on the Main Stage again on Saturday at 7pm when the C2E2 Crown Championships of Cosplay which will feature the best cosplayers from around the globe competing for over $10,000 in cash and prizes and the glory of being titled the C2E2 Crown Champion of Cosplay!

As always there will be tons of comic artists and writers in attendance such as Amazing Spider-Man writer Dan Slott, Fables' Bill Willingham, artist David Finch, writer Gail Simone, Scott Snyder, Tim Seeley and more!  You can also expect tons of entertainment guests including CM Punk, Arrow's David Ramsey, Jason Mewes, Game of Thrones' Finn Jones & Jason Momoa, Kevin Smith and others!  There will also be various vendors as well as the ever-present Artist Alley that you can explore all weekend (because let's face it, a day really isn't enough to take it all in!)  You can check it all out at the links below and follow the Idol Threat Facebook and Twitter for pics, news, live updates and more!
