Hoax Hunters #1 out today on Image Comics

Hoax Hunters (who we featured in our C2E2 spotlight) bursts from the back-up pages of Hack/Slash into their own monthly series on Image comics!  The comic follows a clandestine team as it travels the globe to keep the world’s secrets safe by spreading disinformation through the most unlikely way possible – a reality TV show!  It's X-Files meets Monsterquest & UFO Hunters with a healthy dose of conspiracy theory thrown in, a perfect amalgamation for paranoids and skeptics alike! One of the characters is an astronaut suit filled with crows. AN ASTRONAUT SUIT MADE OF CROWS!

The book is co-written by Michael Moreci & Steve Seeley (who also does the covers) with interior art from Axel Medellin.  The first issue also features a cover by Tim Seeley co-creator of Hack/Slash!  Head on over to your local comic book store to pick up the first issue today!  Those lucky enough to attend this year's San Diego Comic-Con can pick up the book in person from the creators at the Image Comics, Inc. Booth (#2729.)  Also check out some of the press below and click on the jump to preview the first 6 pages!

"Cryptids. Aliens. Monsters. All the world’s bizarre secrets--what if they were real? Their existence would be debunked by a reality TV show! HOAX HUNTERS is that show, publicly disproving all variety of lore. But their real goal is the opposite: as the world’s dark corners surface, the HOAX HUNTERS cover them up. They demonstrate that the truth isn’t out there."

"Great pacing and some killer mystery that is left to unfold. Hoax Hunters is simply put, a fun read that plays with monster mythos," and Axel Medellin "created one of the most GORE-Geous swamp monsters I have ever seen." - From the Tomb Magazine

"This is an awesomely satirical book that not only examines our obsession with hoaxes, but also society’s recent obsession with reality television." - bloody-disgusting.com

"You simply have no idea what will happen next, and that makes for a powerful reading experience not be missed!" - Sci-Fi Pulse
