Canibus Slaughterhouse Diss Track "Lyrical Law VS Joey Cupcakes"

It looks like beef is what's for dinner. Rumors of Canibus' dislike of Slaughterhouse members Royce da 5'9" and Joe Budden has been bubblin for quite some time, there was even someone claiming to be Canibus who posted a Twitter rant going at Royce awhile back. The "Poet Laureates" camp claimed it was an imposter, but with the release of this diss track one is left to wonder. I'm not sure where all this animosity sprang from or what Canibus' motives behind this are, but he is releasing a full LP with Keith Murray as "The Undergods" in a couple of weeks so this may be a strategically placed publicity stunt.

Slaughterhouse is a Hip Hop supergroup which includes Crooked I, Joell Ortiz, Royce da 5'9" and Joe Budden. They have been the top dogs in the lyricist department for quite some time which did not go unnoticed as evidenced by their recent signing to Shady Records (a fact which
Idol Threat got a premature jump on.) Canibus also has his own supergroup the HRSMN, which includes fellow ill lyricists Ras Kass, Killah Priest & Kurupt. Could this be the start of a Slaughterhouse VS HRSMN beef? The HRSMN did collaborate with Slaughterhouse on a track once so Canibus' beef may be more directed at Joey & Royce rather than SH as a whole, but a peaceful war between the two camps would be extremely exciting for Hip Hop.

This may be retaliation to a Joe Budden Twitter post claiming that “I promise y’all that if I got high, I would smoke Canibus.” Either way response to the track so far has been low key, with Royce providing a funny jab on Twitter expressing his feelings of the track:

"Dear Canibus.. ZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzZzz"
