The Avengers Movie Cast Announced

Avengers Assemble! I'm pissed that I wasn't in San Diego for Comic Con since a lot of news was announced there, including the cast and crew for the upcoming Avengers Movie! From Marvel.com:

"It's official: Mark Ruffalo is Bruce Banner... Last night at Marvel Studios' presentation in San Diego Comic-Con's mammoth Hall H, producer Kevin Feige brought the actor onstage with the rest of the cast for "Marvel Studios' The Avengers" as well as the film's director, Joss Whedon.

The award-winning actor will Hulk-out in director Joss Whedon's "Marvel Studios' The Avengers," alongside Robert Downey, Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Evans (Captain America), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury) and Clark Gregg (Phil Coulson). The film opens on May 4, 2012.

One of the original Avengers in the Marvel Comics universe, the Incredible Hulk has had a long association with the team both as ally and enemy. Bruce Banner has always struggled to contain the monster inside himself, though whether or not he'll succeed this time out is anyone's guess. As for what role he'll play in "Marvel Studios' The Avengers," well, we can't give everything away all at once! But you can probably count on at least a little smashing being involved."

I personally wish there were more heroes involved, but as long as we have the Big 3 I’m happy. And with Joss Whedon directing I dare say that I have nothing to worry about, but I’m still pissed that with all this inter-movie crossovers happening they still cast the same guy that plays Human Torch as Captain America. C’mon guys, there really wasn’t ANYONE better that could play Cap?

  1. Mark Ruffalo! Anyway, thanks for your comment, and the answer to your question is CHEAP. CHEAP shows.

  2. Nice, the catch is most of the free shows I come across are in Chicago. Hell, MOST of the shows I come across are in Chicago and 99% are cheap. Sometimes there's a Milwaukee stop for whoever I'm seeing though so that may be another option too.
