Sam Adam's "Boston's Boy" Tops iTunes, Slaine Says He's Bad for Hip Hop

So apparently some college kid from Boston topped the end of the week iTunes charts near the end of March by selling 15,000 units of his debut EP "Boston's Boy." The controversy about this stems from rumors that he actually charged $75,000 worth of his album sales on his own credit card. It did seem rather suspect to me when I heard the news since I never heard of the fucker, but I'm not exactly the expert on Boston Hip Hop. Luckily for me Boston native and Special Teamz rapper/actor Slaine is and he made an open letter about Sam Adams announcing that he was officially "Banned from Boston":

"Sorry Sammy, but Boston's boy is about to get banned from Boston. There is a reason that credibility is important in Hip Hop, and it was so something like this couldn't happen. Right now we're letting some rich white college kids with a scheme and a huge bankroll come in and jack the entire street culture and turn it into some bubble-gum, frat bullshit. Watching what this kid is saying in interviews, it is extremely clear that he has no respect for Hip Hop as a culture. He is even saying he invented his own form of music! Are you tripping? Sam Adams is bad for the culture and art form. He's bad for your business, and bad for my business. Sam Adams is bad for Boston and bad for Hip Hop."
