These Monsters - Call Me Dragon

Haven't been this excited about a release in a minute! I've been waiting for something new from these guys since I got their first EP which was probably sometime around 2006. I always wondered why I haven't heard anything from them and it looks like they've been busy touring the UK and preparing for their first official full release.

THESE MONSTERS are a mostly instrumental, post rock-ish quartet from Leeds that have been making quite a buzz in the UK underground being most known for their amazing live shows. My favorite part about this band is that it includes a saxophone player, and that he doesn't sound out of place or “forced.”

Their upcoming debut release “Call Me Dragon” is now available for pre-order and has a release date of March 1st for the UK and May 10th for the rest of Europe (I'm not too sure what's going on with the US release.)

Their single is also called Call Me Dragon and it features a little more vocals than I'm used to hearing from them but it isn't too bad, and it sounds like there's some nice saxophone multiphonics going on in the hooks. Here's the free download for their single:
